How to construct a logical requirement so that you or a Crystal Developer can produce the report as required.
This session will introduce you to the logic of Crystal Reports. It will explain the 'how's' and 'why's' of core Crystal Reporting functions. The session will help you understand how to make it easy for yourself or the developer to deliver the report you want. We will introduce the logic of ODBC connections, Tables and the relationships between closely linked areas or more awkward connections.
The session will clearly demonstrate why it takes longer to produce some reports than others. For example, when you ask for a Profit and Loss report by stock Item, we will explain why that will take days if not weeks to produce, but when you ask for an order report by Sales Person that is easy to do. We will get you Hands on with Crystal, with a structured goal, a particular report specified and designed and then written! All in ½ a day.
